A.E.M - Australian Electronics Monthly.
{ Magazines }
1st issue - Jul 1981,

Last issue - Dec 1988,

Total issues published - 41 magz.

I own a Complete collection of " Australian Electronics Monthly " magz, every issue from 1985 to 1988.

Click a YEAR, to see the magazine Covers & Indexes, for an entire YEAR .
Notes :
Initially, I thought there were 44 isssues published....
This was due to an online Ad for a "AEM Collection on Disc", where the Ad stated "All 44 issues are on the Disc"...

The Aug '88 issue never got published due to staff /resource issues. ( Mentioned in the Sep'88 issue, in the foreword ).
Also mentioned is the possabilty of a 'special'  issue being released, to maintain the 12-issues-per-year-Volume.
I don't know if that ever eventuated either.

I'm also informed (by 2 previous AEM subscribers, that also have 41 issues) that Jan/Feb '89 (and onwards)
never went into publication.
This was the period when the magazine had folded (no pun)....So, in fact there are only 41 published issues available.

T.E - Talking Electronics.
{ Magazines & Books }
1st issue - 1981,   Last issue - 1983,   Total issues published - 15 magz.

Click HERE to see my Complete collection of  TE Magazinesevery issue (1-15) from 1981 to 1983.

Notes :
There were only 15 issues of TE published, although many specialty/educational books were also published by TE.

TE was aimed at beginners & hobbyists, with strong focus on "learning about electronics" which appealed to Schools etc.
TE was perhaps one of the few magz to be stocked in most school-libraries around Victoria, and perhaps Aus-wide too.

ARA - Amateur Radio Action
ARA had a ridiculous publication calendar, having 13 issues per year.
Even worse, is that the 13 issues spread across 2 years, e.g. mid 1986 to mid 1987 were considered a 'volume'.
In October 1993 they finally came to their senses, and issue's were released/labelled MONTHLY !!!

ARA/CBA ceased Publication in Jul '95, when it then became "Radio & Communications" from Jul/Aug '95 onwards.

RC - Radio & Communications
"Radio & Communications" was the resulting merge between "CB Action" and it's sister publication "Amateur Radio Action".

ARA/CBA ceased Publication in Jul '95, to became "Radio & Communications" from Jul/Aug '95 onwards.

New Addition :
During 1999-2000 "
Radio & Communications" seems to be internally renamed to "RadioMag".
( Although
"Radio & Communications" was still named on the Cover ).

During 2001 the cover was finally renamed into "RadioMag". (see "RadioMag" listing below).

"RadioMag" didnt seem to last long, and was soon Renamed to "THE NEW
Radio & Communications" on the Cover.
( Although still published and known internally as RadioMag).

All these changes reflected a large number of editor/publisher changes, with staff retiring and then returning....phew !

RM - RadioMag
"Radio Mag" was simply a renaming of "Radio & Communications" that started in March 2001.
A short time later (between Jul to Aug 2001) re-introduced a small "Radio & Communications" logo back into it's cover.

"RadioMag" didnt seem to last long, and was soon Renamed to "THE NEW Radio & Communications" on the Cover.
( Although still published and known internally as RadioMag).

CBA - CB Australia
"CB Australia" was a very thin publication (20-30 pages).
It started as a liftout from ETI magazine but also available at newsagents for 60 cents.
It first appeared in ETI
Feb '77, but i don't know how long it continued.

By Dec '78, it was a seperate magazine (76 pages) and no longer an ETI liftout.
I'm assuming most (or all) of 1978 was the seprate magazine publication.

ACBF - Australian CB Focus
"Australian CB Focus" was perhaps trying to compete with the early CB Action, featuring Glamourous Girly covers.
ACBF was published By Colin Mitchell (from "Talking Electronics" magazine).
The magazine followed strongly along the line of the "Talking Electronics" layout and information/education topics.

First published around
Oct '81, but i'm not sure when it ceased publication.
